My First Night Flight In The Diamond DA40

Video of my first night flight in the Diamondstar DA40. As a student pilot, one of the requirements of your training is to complete a certain amount of hours of flying at night, which in aviation means; hours after sunset and before sun rise. On this flight we were only about 30 miles out from our home airport, and boy was I excited. It really is a total different experience flying at night. Everything on the outside looks so lit and beautiful. Keep in mind that night flying also comes with it’s own set of challenges as a pilot. But it’s always good to build the skill and experience.
