I had the opportunity to check out Daher’s new line of TBM 900 series at the NBAA 2018 convention. The all new TBM 930 is the newest line of turboprop fast airplane produced by Daher. With the performance you get in this aircraft, one would have to think twice before considering buying a jet.
The TBM 930 like it’s predecessors is the fastest certified single engine airplane in the world, with cruise speeds north of 370 miles per hour. You’re pretty much in jet speed territory. The airplane will sit up to 6 and it is geared more towards the owner/operator pilot or entrepreneur who needs a time machine to get from one place to the other.
TBM 930 is equipped with Garmin G3000 avionics package. And this system comes ready packed with lots of safety tools to assist the pilot flying the airplane. Over speed protection, under speed protection, the system will even set in the auto-pilot and get you down to lower altitude, should you lose the cabin pressure.
The Daher TBM 910 starts at $3.9 million fully loaded, while the new TBM 930 starts a little over $4 million.
