L-29 Super Delfin. Czech’s First Ever Military Jet Trainer

We’re joined by Pete from Up and Ready Flight Support to talk about the L-29 “Viper”. The Super Delfin was designed in the late 50’s and went into service in the 60’s. It was a robust and reliable aircraft at its time. There was only one issue with this warbird. It was underpowered. Warbirds of Delaware has since installed engine modifications with the airframe featured. Now, it’s the fastest plane to ever to race at Reno with a whopping top speed of 544 mph.
