If you’re new to Mojogrip, I’m currently building a 4-seater aircraft called the Sling TSi. This is an experimental aircraft which means it has to be built from a kit. When you build your own airplane, you can either build in your space by yourself, or you can have the airplane built at a build facility.
I opted to build my airplane through a build facility at The airplane factory based in Torrance CA. You can follow my airplane build in this series of videos
This video explains how the build assist program works. With the rules set in place by the FAA, when you go through a build assist program, you will be required to complete a set amount of task which gives you points towards completion of the aircraft. In essence, you are part of the build team. But you don’t always have to be present for the entire build. Even in your absence, the airplane build may continue as long as you do your part.
Once I’m back at the build facility, hopefully in the next few weeks, I’ll give an update on the Mojosling build. Be sure to subscribe to the newsletter!
