Guardian Avionics shows us their new product. the smartMFD. It is an iPad-based multifunction display, engine management & flight recording system. It can integrate with iOS devices such as iPad, iPhones and even an Apple Watch. With this, you can go back and forth to whatever app you need. It is available for both certified and experimental aircraft. Their iPad dock has a built-in fan to prevent the device from overheating. The overall cost of the system can cost around $20,000 depending on the iPad devices and the panels you use.
