Earlier this year, we interviewed Karl, who owns a 1963 Piper Cherokee 235. This is the flight video from the aircraft maintenance interview.
Piper cherokee lines of aircraft are some of the most popular models of airplanes still flying all around the world today. As a matter of fact many certified pilots you talk to likely learned to fly in a cessna or a piper cherokee. Reason being that the Cherokee 140, Cherokee 160, Cherokee 180 and the Cherokee 235 are all lower entry airplanes for new and seasoned pilots.
They are lower entry because they are easier to fly and very forgiving especially for newer pilots. But also these models are very affordable to buy used. Very old, but still affordable.
The Piper cherokee 235 in this video was recently purchased by Karl, a Mojogrip viewer. This is Karls very first airplane which he bought to finish his pilots license. From just the appearance, the aircraft looks quite old. And it is, it’s been flying for over 50 years. The airplane can sit 4 people comfortably with a useful load of over 1400 pounds. Although you might find it a little bit narrow once the door shut close. If you’re on the wider side, the front seats may feel tight. And speaking of doors. There is also only one entry door on this airplane.
