How One Refugee Made Her Way To Become A Certified Pilot

https://www.womeninaerospaceandaviation.com

Anh-Thu Nguyen grew up in a remote village in Vietnam. She’d always wanted to learn how to fly even as a child. For her and many of us, this seem like a pipe dream. When she was 12 years old, her family immigrated to the United States and despite the language barrier, she was able to overcome challenges within her educational career.
Anh-Thu waited until she was 19 to go out on her own and start her flight training. Her first private pilot certification took about 10 years. She has since gotten her instrument rating, and commercial pilot license. Anh-Thu today holds an ATP certification.

Anh-Thu is currently planning a solo world trip and you can find out more about her organization here
